"Traces on the facade: the painted architecture that was hidden under the whitewash."

Get your camera ready for one of the most pictorial routes of the festival. The aim is to show one of the most unique and least known secrets of the historical-artistic heritage of Malaga: the buildings with wall paintings and ornamental repertoires of the Malaga Baroque, protected in Title XII of the PGOU of Malaga.

The extension of these treatments in buildings, both religious and civil, are key to understand that most of the facades of the city of the eighteenth century would be painted under the lime that today cover them. These samples can be dated between 1730 and 1800, a relic to be discovered.

For this reason, this route selects buildings representative of the historical evolution of this type of facades, offering a different experience in the historic center.
