Starting with the headquarters building of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Antequera, we propose a journey to analyze the strategies followed to establish contemporary uses in historic buildings. In this way, sometimes building orthopedic structures, sometimes building elements inspired by the time of the building and sometimes with purely contemporary building pieces, it is possible to give current life to structures of the past.
