The E4 pavilion, Efficient Outdoor Educational Space, is a research project developed through the I Own Plan of the Vice Rectorate of Smart Campus of the University of Malaga to provide it with a replicable state-of-the-art classroom that allows outdoor teaching. The definition of its architectural shape and geometry takes into account climatic and other issues, for which parametric design is also used.
This new space has the capacity to: understand its environment and work with it in a collaborative way; enable the conditioning and obtaining of climatic comfort conditions of the space; be able to define the necessary climate control systems to improve its operation in more adverse conditions; the application of Artificial Intelligence technologies for its application in architecture and the monitoring of the space for its climatic and usage control.
The pavilion is not only the result of a research project, but once built, it is intended to serve as a support for future research.
