The Alameda of Malaga is the result of the new approaches of the Enlightenment. It is shaped from the royal order of 1783 which allows the creation of a large road axis embellished that arises from urban needs, as well as for the enjoyment of citizens. The original project fell into the hands of the lieutenant of engineers Fernando López Mercader. At the beginning, the eastern part was built; after the demolition of the old Castillo de San Lorenzo, the promenade was extended to its border with the Guadalmedina. The main families of the city decided to install in this new place, comfortable and privileged, their residences in the form of palaces and, later, in its extension, houses for rent. The configuration of its plots has hardly changed, although its elevations have changed over time.
The visit will include access to the courtyard of the Municipal Archives, the Delegation of the Government of Andalusia in Malaga and the Edipsa Building.
Set your camera to charge and get your backpack ready because we are selecting the best buildings in your city so you can visit them very soon...
